Professional Italian translator and subtitler based in London, with an MSc in Audiovisual Translation from University College London (Distinction) and a BA in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation (110/110). Italian is my mother tongue, and I translate from English, Spanish and French into Italian, with English ↔ Italian subtitling for TV, film and advertising.
My background combines translation with localisation project management. I have worked as a Project Manager and Team Leader at a leading localisation company, so I know what clients need: accurate, culturally natural texts, strict compliance with briefs and glossaries, and reliable deadlines.
Specialisations: legal, medical, technical, marketing, website and e-commerce content, tourism and travel, business and finance, education, entertainment and promotional material.
Quality and method: I analyse the text, purpose and audience before starting, then translate, self-revise and proofread every project before delivery. I work in MemoQ, Trados Studio and Wordfast Pro to keep terminology consistent, and in professional subtitling tools (Ooona, EZTitles, SubtitleEdit). I also offer machine translation post-editing (MTPE) where requested.
