I am a conference interpreter working primarily between Dutch and English but also from French and Spanish into English. I was sworn in as a Dutch<>English interpreter in the Netherlands in 2020 and I am a member of NGTV, CioL and ITI. Before I was an interpreter, I was already an experienced translator of texts from Dutch, French and Spanish into English and editor of English-language documents. I am familiar with Zoom Interpretation and other remote interpreting tools, and I have worked extensively with MemoQ translation support software.
My two bachelor's degrees are in History and Interpreting. In 2017 I gained my master's degree in Latin American Studies, for which I wrote my thesis in Spanish based on my fieldwork studying access to drinking water in the desert city of Lima, Peru.
My areas of specialisation in interpreting are notarial deeds, business meetings, telecommunications, human resources and floriculture. I have interpreted regularly for a large cooperative since 2019 and I highly value that good relationship.
For translation, I specialise in intergovernmental organisations, business communications, internal documentation, marketing and academic publications. I am particularly proud of translating and editing the judgments in the MH17 court proceedings.
